After logging into the DayClocks Calendar app, when an activity is entered for the first time, permission to record audio is requested. When selecting a photo, access to media is requested. Full use of the Calendar app requires permission in both cases. If this is not done, the photo album is not opened and no photo can be added. If for some reason something has gone wrong with the permission request, this can be checked and adjusted via the Settings of the smartphone or tablet as follows.

Open the Settings menu on the smartphone. Select Apps and click on the Calendar app. App info for the Calendar app opens. Click on Permissions. Here you can see if the Calendar app has access to Storage. If the app does not have access, click Storage and select Allow media access only. Return to the DayClock Calendar app. It should now be possible to add a photo to an activity.
